was an introductory rate, which we received for our last competition there.
Darla has the signed contract and will send copies to Troy and Diane.
Fees for 2004? Last year: Stalls – $45, Tack Stalls - $30; Camping - $40
with Hook-up, $20 without hook-up.

pay for the camping on grounds?

the Event Coordination and Judges camping spaces at the facility at no charge.
MOTION PASSED.
Would a Scooter or 4-wheeler be allowed? Yes. The facility restricts
bikes in the barns only.

Latigo n Lace supplied. Troy will check with the office to verify, C C Riders
will bring theirs and Ric Gearhart also has one.

Saturday night social: Jan Schuchman-WE/Renegades, has a contact who will
do a BBQ dinner. She will contact him to see if he is interested and send
the costs to Diane. It was noted there were problems getting to the dinner/social
because of practice, etc. We will try to schedule when nothing else going
on.
Diane will contact Jordan Petersen about producing the event videotape.
Paula Ruth Gearhart to contact Molly Morrow in Ellensburg for still photos.
Jan Schuchman has another person if Molly not available.
V. SCORING PROPOSAL
Gail Williams had proposed the PNWDTA adopt WSEDTA score system including
flag use under Degree of Difficulty. Questions on posting the flag, riding
with inappropriate costumes, etc. Differences in currently used score sheets
were noted. For the Freestyle drills, the WSEDTA has a section on flag carriage.
We could not use those sections and just have flag carriage mentioned in Degree
of difficulty only. The points in each section are also different.
OWDTA/WLRCA also allows optional use of American flag. Oregon has
not addressed a scoring change. The WLRCA will address at their next meeting.
President Troy Valentine would like to table this discussion until Latigo
‘n Lace representatives can be here to add to discussion.
MOTION: (Paula Ruth Gearhart, 2nd Karla Valentine) Table score sheet proposal
until next meeting. PASSED.
VI. SECOND DRILL COMPETITION IN 2004
President Troy Valentine and Diane Thomas have been discussing having a
second competition, probably in August or September. Would like to know if
anyone else would be interested in participating. Several teams indicated
they would be interested in a one-day competition. Events to include Free
Style, Short Program, and Quads.
Diane Thomas had checked with the Tacoma Unit, however the dates available
are not compatible with the current event schedule.
Debbie Pilorget to check if the Clark County Saddle Club outdoor arena might
be available August 21st or 28th. Eileen Vollertsen-Silver Edge to check Prineville
schedule.
VII. COMPETITION 2005
We are booked in the Albany, Oregon Fairgrounds June 25 & 26, 2005.
No other bids were presented. Cheryl Slaydon-RRCA has checked with Clark
County Fairgrounds with no dates available.
VIII. THEATRICAL DRILL GROUPS – Criteria
Eileen Vollertsen-Silver Edge has presented some suggestions. Diane has
information from another association and will have something in writing for
next meeting.
We will need to have criteria and scoring, etc. for other division: Rodeo,
Gaited, etc. Anyone willing to work on this please notify Troy and/or Diane.
IX. FUTURE.
Continue to think of the future for this association. Troy would like
to see us offer cash prizes with major sponsors and better audiences.
Need flyers to put out in the community to advertise our show in Wenatchee.
Jan Schuchman will distribute. We need to find a big corporation willing to
assist with sponsorship. If anyone has ideas or suggestions please share.
