2003 Regional Competition Eugene,
Oregon
General impression overall pretty good.
Practice: Request for either all on Friday or all on Saturday morning.
Impromptu: Timing problems especially for those teams who practice on Saturday.
As Assn grows we may need to extend to an additional day.
Maybe do draw ahead of time.
MOTION: Darla Myers (Desperados), 2nd Andy Jacobson ( Latigo
n Lace): Extend Impromptu to later in the day (Amend: 6 PM or later eliminate
practice 2 hour open arena time only). Call for vote: PASSED
AWARDS: Safety item Hot horses and people on the ground. Package them
up and have distributed individually. Dont send those hot horses up disrespectful.
Change the type of awards. Do awards off horseback. Pick up the awards afterward.
No consensus at this time.
Thanks Ric Gearhart, Event Coordinator
Bitterroot Mountettes. Troy apologized. During Impromptu
Drill one judge did not agree they had done one of the maneuvers. Troy let matter go too long. He sent a message to the
Bitterroot members stating the Judges decision should be final. We pay for
that opinion and if we do not support that, then we would have problems getting
good judges.
Darla we should have a form that tells us how they would rate the judges.
Diane WLRCA tried to do this does not work. Very
little return. It was suggested to pass out form at next meeting?
